Students

...equipping and encouraging students to be the Gospel...

That is the goal and hope of our Student Ministry.  Our aim is that students will be equipped and encouraged to be the Gospel.

What does it mean to be the gospel?  That is a good question.  What would happen if someone decided to follow the commands of Christ as best as they could? if they resolved to love God with all their heart, mind, soul, and strength? if they loved their neighbor as them self? if they treated everyone with the grace and dignity that Jesus did?  What would happen?  Well, that person would be living out the Gospel; they would be living out the Gospel of Jesus Christ.  And this is exactly what we want each student to be doing.

Go-To-It-Fast!

Each and Every Week...
The Link Bible Study:
►The Link meets Sundays mornings up in the living room area of the LOFT.  This is a time for us to dig into scripture and figure out what it says to us in our daily lives.  We study a wide variety of topics, but each one that we study challenges us to take our walk with C
►9:30am in the LOFT is where The Link takes place.

C Groups:
►Basically this is a time for food and fellowship...or in other words, hanging out and eating pizza rolls.
This is a chance for students to experience community with others their age; thus the name "C Group."  Each time we meet students will be given a chance to relax, laugh, discuss with each other, and build relationships.
►C Group happens on Sunday night at 6 pm in the McCaskill's home.  Call the church for directions, or if you have questions.

612 Student Service:
►612 is a chance for students to gather on Wednesday nights and just get away from all the hassles and pressures that face them every single day.  You don't have to be anyone special to be able to come and participate in our service; just a student who wants to learn how to see things the way the Bible would like us to.
If you want to know the latest happenings, future activities, and experience the biggest part of the week, then 612 is going to be something that you will want to be a part of.
►612 starts at 6:12 pm in the LOFT.  If you're early or late, we don't care; we just want you there.
►Some of the topics that we are going to cover this year include:
     -"Scary Stories" in October.
-"The Chronciles of Narnia" starting in November.
-"Living Upside Down" starting in April.

The LOFT:
►Our student area has been given a recent makeover.  The process took awhile, but it was well worth the wait.  The LOFT is where our meeting area is, with stage, lights, big screens, full sound, pool table, foosball table, couches, and cafe area.
Come and experience the LOFT for yourself...

Whats Going On...
Care Xplosion -
On November 17th we'll be heading over to South Tulsa Baptist Church to participate in Care Xplosion.  We'll be having a canned food drive in order to help out the Tulsa Ministry Center get ready for Thanksgiving and Christmas time.  We will join up with other area youth groups there that night and help do something bigger than ourselves.  It will be a good one!

Student Pastor...
My name is Jay Sauser and I've been working with Revolution Student Ministry at Brookside Baptist since August 2008. I consider it a privilege to be able to work with teenagers and interact with them.  My goal is to have the same kind of impact on them that Paul and Silas did with the Thessalonians.
I grew up in Iowa as a pastor's kid and felt called into ministry throughout my high school years.  I went to college at Hannibal-LaGrange College in Hannibal, MO and got my bachelor's degree in Bible.
After college I moved to Kansas City to work with the Know-n-Go Student Ministry at First Baptist Church in Raytown, MO.  While there I earned my Masters of Divinity degree from Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary and met my wife Tiffany there at First Baptist.
I was married on April 12, 2008 to my bride, Tiffany.  She is an amazing woman and I am beyond excited to be able to call her my wife.  In July of 2010 we gave birth to our first child Riley Grace.  She is a blessing and are excited about what God has in store for the 3 of us.
